Meet Co-founders Jocelyn & Meghan

Long ago, on an island off the coast of Canada (yes, really)...

Jocelyn Macdougall and Meghan French Dunbar met at a conference called Social Venture Institute. Jocelyn was emceeing and hosting the conference as a recognized convener and facilitator and Meghan was presenting at the conference as the co-founder and CEO of Conscious Company Media.

Recognizing a long-lost best friend in Jocelyn, Meghan approached Jocelyn at lunch and told her they were meant to be friends. More than a year later, when Meghan had the crazy idea to found a conference for purpose-driven women called World-Changing Women, she knew just the person to call to co-create her convening with her.

Since that time in 2017, Jocelyn and Meghan have convened thousands of women business leaders from all over the world under the World-Changing Women brand to have brave conversations about the future of business and leadership.

After running World-Changing Women together for three years, Jocelyn and Meghan dreamed up a new concept — a space where gamechanging purpose-driven business women could come together year round to help each other succeed while building a better world. They called their new dream community Womn Led.

Jocelyn Macdougall, Co-founder

Building from anti-racist foundations, Jocelyn works in community to cultivate leaders who practice heart-centered leadership based on compassion, vulnerability, collaboration, and self-reflection. She believes the arts are a price-of-admission component of a sane, healthy society, having a unique propensity to enable self and social reflection. She is also lucky enough to sing with Vancouver’s hottest funk and Motown band, Queer As Funk.

Meghan French Dunbar, Co-founder

Meghan is the co-founder and former CEO of Conscious Company Media, the nation’s leading media company dedicated to purpose-driven businesses and social enterprises. The company’s flagship product — Conscious Company Magazine — was the first nationally distributed print publication in the U.S. to focus exclusively on sustainable and conscious business practices. She believes in a world where we redefine success in business to be centered around being in service to all life. She loves running around in the mountains of Colorado with her husband, son, and daughter; traveling; and eating all the good food the world has to offer.

In This Community

We have brave conversations. We take space. We make space. We give a shit. We advocate. We say what needs to be said. We rejoice. We grieve. We love. We show up in our full humanity. We do the work. We support each other. We admit mistakes. We prioritize impact over intention. We demonstrate humility. We understand the urgency. We move at the speed of trust. We build new systems. We reject harmful paradigms. We each do our part to make this world better. We bring our light to dark places.

What We're All About

Our work is rooted from a place of creating an equitable world: one divorced from the harmful paradigms of patriarchy, white supremacy, and ableism; one where women and nonbinary people can show up in their full humanity; and one where our systems and structures are designed in such a way that all life can thrive.

We believe that female and nonbinary leaders are critical to bringing this vision to reality. Our work brings these leaders together to have brave conversations that inspire change. We equip leaders with the knowledge and tools to dream, build, and implement these new concepts and frameworks.Â
